The County Council, via Met Eireann, have issued a moderate weather warning for rain for Donegal, which they say may lead to coastal flooding.
The alert for St Stephen’s Day into Wednesday reads: “Heavy rain overnight (Tuesday), followed by heavy showers tomorrow (Wednesday), may lead to localised flooding. Strong southerly winds overnight, veering southwesterly tomorrow, in conjunction with spring tides, may lead to coastal flooding”.
The warning is in place from 8pm Tuesday until midnight Wednesday.
