Friends of Stephen Love set up the fundraising page
Friends of Stephen Love whose sudden death in January rocked the community of Donegal Town have begun a fundraiser to support his devastated family.
Among them is Frank Cassidy who set up the GoFundMe page The Family of Stephen Love.
Frank writes: “On Wednesday the 10th January 2024 as Stephen Love finished his work for the day and before going home to Glenda and his girls he called in for his daily chats to his brothers.
“This was the final moments of Stephen's life; he never made it home.
“Just before 6pm that evening while Glenda was waiting for him to arrive home she got the call that she never expected to get.
“So many people have been wanting to help Glenda and their girls at this heart breaking time, so I feel this is the best way for people to help with any unexpected expenses that Glenda now has to face alone for her girls future without Stephen by her side.
“As one of Stephen's very close friends I would appreciate any help at all, even if it’s not in the form of a donation, thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated for Glenda and her girls during this heartbreaking time.”
There has been a huge outpouring of love and support for Donegal Town barber Glenda and her children since Stephen’s untimely death.
People are responding generously to the fundraiser, and also using it as a platform to reach out to Glenda and show that she is not alone at this most difficult of times.
