Declan Meehan elected in Milford LEA on fourth count

Declan Meehan received a total of 88 transfers which pushed his total figure to 2,074 - Maria Doherty (Sinn Féin) has been eliminated and 1,088 transfers will now be distributed

Declan Meehan has been elected in the Milford LEA, following the fourth count.

Meehan received 188 transfers from Eamonn Jackson’s elimination which pushed his total figure to 2,074. This figure therefore surpassed the 2,058 quota required. Following on, Maria Doherty (Sinn Féin) has been eliminated and 1,088 transfers will now be distributed. 

The results of count four are as follows:

Declan Meehan (Non-Party) has been elected;  Liam Blaney (Fianna Fáil) gained 89 transfers, now having 1,802 votes; Pauric McGarvey (Non-Party) gained 139 which leaves him at 1,664; John O’Donnell (Non-Party) received 31 totaling 1,438. 

At the end of the fourth count, there is now a total of 164 non-transferable votes. The 16 surpluses from Meehan’s election also can not be included.
