"I am delighted and honoured to have been nominated to the Seanad this evening," she posted. "Congratulations to Manus Boyle, who has also received a nomination. To have two Fine Gaels senators in Donegal is incredibly positive for our county and we will work hard together in the months ahead. I will share more in the coming days but for now I will take time with family to let the news sink in."
Last July, Bradley was appointed by then Taoiseach Simon Harris. She stood as a candidate in the General Election, but was eliminated on the 14th count having taken 3,658 first preferences. Under the terms of the coalition deal for the recently elected Irish government, six of the nominees went to Fianna Fail and five to Fine Gael.
