Parts of Lower Main Street and Oldtown Road in Letterkenny have been closed following an overnight road traffic incident.
Donegal Live understands that more than one pedestrian has been injured and hospitalised following the incident.
The vehicle involved, a taxi, also collided with a house causing minor structural damage to the property.
The area has been sealed off from Larkin’s Lane to the junction at Convent Road with the Oldtown Road also closed from the roundabout at the Station House Hotel.
Gardai are at the scene and diversions are in place in the area.
A Garda forensics team is expected to be onsite shortly to carry out a technical examination.
