On Wednesday, over 60 businesses from across Donegal gathered at Kernan’s Bistro for a networking breakfast to welcome the new President of the Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce, Jimmy Stafford.
Hosted by Paul and his team, the event provided a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to connect and form new relationships.
Sponsored by Bank of Ireland, the event was well attended by Yvonne Boal, Bank Manager for Letterkenny and Falcarragh, and Derek Plumb, Premier Wealth Manager at BOI.
Attendees had the chance to engage with the Bank of Ireland team and hear from Derek about upcoming changes to pensions and auto-enrolment, which will have a significant impact on employers.
In his address, Jimmy spoke about his role as Chamber President and encouraged members to actively participate in events and lobbying efforts.
He said: “Letterkenny Chamber has grown significantly in recent years. With over 300 members, we have a wealth of knowledge and valuable connections. Our strength lies in working together and engaging with key stakeholders. We have a strong and resilient business community, and we are proud to play our part in its success.”
Jimmy also took the opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of outgoing President Claire McDonough and expressed his enthusiasm for working alongside Vice Presidents Karoline Sweeney of Castlegrove Country House Hotel and Bernard Gallagher of CBM Signs during the Chamber’s milestone 60th anniversary year.
Toni Forrester, CEO of Letterkenny Chamber, expressed her gratitude to Bank of Ireland for their support. “This annual event continues to grow, and the diversity of businesses in attendance reflects our strong Chamber membership. We were delighted to have Bank of Ireland as a sponsor, enabling us to host an event that benefits everyone who attended.”
