A Letterkenny man has been praised for coming to the aid of a group of search and rescue volunteers who were on a day out to climb Errigal.
Derry’s Foyle Search and Rescue, an emergency rescue service based in Derry city, thanked Letterkenny man Brian Friel for coming to the aid of some of its members who suffered a puncture after completing the climb of Errigal.

“Not all heroes wear capes,” the charity posted. The post thanked him for taking the tyre to his house to fix before bringing it back.

Pointing out that he didn’t want to give the members his name, the group issued “a massive thank you to Brian Friel of Letterkenny for coming to our rescue after getting a puncture after our climb!
“You’re a gentleman, THANK YOU!”
