The late Stephen McCahill to be laid to rest in Ardara on Saturday

'Stephen will be sadly missed by the wider McCahill family, his much-loved Corner House family, his large circle of friends and neighbours, and everyone who benefitted from his tireless work to help the communities of South West Donegal'

The late Stephen McCahill to be laid to rest in Ardara on Saturday

Stephen's remains will repose at his home at Beagh, Ardara, F94D1W9 on Thursday, January 8, from 11am to 9pm and on Friday from 11am to 9pm

Stephen McCahill will be laid to rest this Saturday in Ardara.
At approximately 3:50am on Monday, Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to an assault at a domestic residence outside the town. Stephen McCahill, a native of Glenties, was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene. A male in his 30s was later arrested.
Shovlins Funeral Home wrote: "Stephen will be greatly missed by his heartbroken family. Forever cherished husband to Marietta, loving father to Gemma and Steven, adored father-in-law to Lauren, doting grandfather to Marykate, devoted brother and brother-in-law to Peter, Angela, Patricia (John), Desmond (Rose) and Bridie, and beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews.
Pre-deceased by his parents Eileen and Packie and his brother Michael.

"Stephen will be sadly missed by the wider McCahill family, his much-loved Corner House family, his large circle of friends and neighbours, and everyone who benefitted from his tireless work to help the communities of South West Donegal. Stephen’s legacy lives on in the many lives he touched. May He Rest In Peace."
His remains will repose at his home at Beagh, Ardara, F94D1W9 on Thursday, January 8, from 11am to 9pm and on Friday from 11am to 9pm. Funeral from there on Saturday at 11:30am for 12noon requiem mass at Church Of The Holy Family Ardara with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family home private on Saturday morning.
People attending the wake are advised to park at Ardara GAA pitch (F94 V978) or the Dolmen Centre Kilclooney (F94 DN83) where shuttle bus will be in operation. Stephen's funeral mass can be viewed live on Church Of The Holy Family Ardara webcam.
