South-west Donegal road blocked due to landslide in Storm Dave

There is a Yellow Weather Warning for Rain for Donegal (risk of flooding) and Mayo from till midnight tonight, with a Yellow Weather Warning for Wind all weekend nationally

Donegal County Council is working to re-open a road in the south-west of the county.

The R230 road between Gleann Cholm Cille and Mín an Aoire is blocked at Braade due to a landslide and mootorists are advised to divert through An Charraig.

"The Council will endeavor to reopen the road as soon as possible," a statement read. 

There is a Yellow Weather Warning for Rain for Donegal (risk of flooding) and Mayo from till midnight tonight, with a Yellow Weather Warning for Wind all weekend nationally. 

Possible impacts were said to include localised flooding, poor visibility and difficult travel conditions.
