Donegal Association New York makes €10,000 donation to Pobail Mhuire in Doirí Beaga

The Donegal Association New York has made a donation of €10,000 towards the rebuilding of the Teach Pobail Mhuire in Doirí Beaga.

The Association vice-president, James McLaughlin, met with Fr Brendan Ward, Fr Brian O Fearraigh, Mary Coyle, Geraldine Boyle, and John Eves, members of Meitheal Mhuire, which is the committee working to restore the church.

“Our Association was pleased to be able to offer them support and the money raised through our fundraiser last year,” the
Association said.

St Mary’s Church (Teach Pobail Mhuire) in Derrybeg, was completely destroyed by a devastating fire in the early hours of Easter Monday, April 21, 2025.
