Downstrands Family Resource Centre encourage people to reach out all year round

The Downstrands Family Resource Centre has reassured families and individuals that they can avail of funding throughout the year.

Portnoo’s Barrie Quinn organised a fundraising drive through social media in south-west Donegal that raised €54,561 for people from the south-west Donegal area ahead of Christmas.

To get things going, Barrie’s Portnoo Market Garden has donated €500, and he is using their considerable online following of almost 1,000,000 - 310,000 followers on Facebook and 650,000 on Instagram - to get behind the appeal.

“The Barrie Quinn Fund is available to individuals and families throughout the year,” Downstrands Family Resource Centre say. “Food vouchers, electricity credit, home heating oil and essential household items can be requested.”

The Downstrands Family Resource Centre sincerely thank Barrie Quinn and all who have donated to the fund.
