The swimmers are raising money for Donegal Domestic Violence Services
A group of south Donegal sea swimmers are taking to the water to do a cold water charity dip to mark International Women’s Day.
Anyone who supports these brave dippers will be contributing to a very worthy cause. Furthermore, for every €5 donated, supporters will be entered into a draw for some fantastic prizes.
A spokesperson said: “We are raising money for Donegal Domestic Violence Services, an extremely vital service in these times.
“We reached out to some local businesses who have generously donated some prizes for our raffle.
Some of the fantastic prizes donated by local businesses include afternoon tea for two at Lough Eske Castle, €50 Fit Pink Voucher, surf lesson for two with Fin McCool Surf School, a hamper from Eske Pharmacy, a sauna session from Salt and Ember, four beanies from Ger.outdoors, a coaching session from Derek McDonnell.
The dips are taking place on Sunday, March 6 at 10am at Rossnowlagh and on Tuesday, March 8 at 6.30pm at Mountcharles. You do not have to dip to donate, or donate to dip, everyone is welcome.
