Project progress for Rosses and Arainn Mhór schools

Good news for two west Donegal schools

The extension project for the Rosses Community School, Dungloe has received approval to proceed to tender, and the project for Gairmscoil Mhic Diarmada, Arainn Mhór has received approval to proceed to construction. Both projects are under the Additional School Accommodation Scheme.

The Rosses project will consist of four classroom SEN base, a music room, a DCG room, and a textiles room and the Arainn Mhór project will consist of one new art room.

This news was relayed today by the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine and Donegal TD, Charlie McConalogue.

"These confirmations are good news for the school communities in the Rosses and Arainn Mhór and will improve the offering and services of the schools."

He thanked Education Minister Norma Foley for confirming the news and for the work of the principals, the staff, students, and parents of the schools for progressing these projects.

He also paid tribute to local councillor, Noreen McGarvey for her continued hard work with the schools and the communities they served.
