Daniel O’Donnell will lead the bereaved community of Creeslough in song this evening.

The Kincasslagh singer will attend the last in a series of Novena Masses at St Michael’s Church.

Daniel will lead the congregation in song as they continue to remember and mourn the ten people who died in a horrific explosion in October.

Last week, former Eurovision Song Contest winner Dana Rosemary Scallon attended.

The Bishop of Raphoe, Alan McGuckian SJ, celebrated another of the Novena Masses last week and on Wednesday night three-time All-Ireland winning Gaelic football manager Mickey Harte was a guest speaker.

Harte, who led his native Tyrone to three Sam Maguires, also attended the St Michael’s GAA clubhouse at The Bridge to meet with locals.

Daniel was in Chicago on the day of the explosion, about to board a flight to Dublin.

“It’s beyond belief,” he said on the Late Late Show last month.

“I watched all the funerals and I know this town. I know Creeslough.

"It’s beyond belief for a small community. I don’t know honestly how people step forward. I do not know. All I can say is that I looked at Hamish – the little boy who spoke at his father’s funeral – and I thought the strength that he and his mother got up and did it.”
