NoWDOC calls for patience ahead of what is expected to be a busy weekend

NoWDOC is likely to be under pressure this weekend

The NoWDOC GP Out of Hours Service is asking people to be patient ahead of what is expected to be a busy New Year Bank holiday weekend.

The service experienced a high volume of calls over the Christmas period and are expecting a similar volume of calls this coming weekend. People are being advised that urgent calls are prioritised and will be dealt with first.  People are asked to be patient in the event of longer waiting times.

The service is designed to provide urgent GP care to patients. NoWDOC provides care for patients of participating practices in Donegal and South Leitrim.  The service can be contacted by calling 0818 400 911.

NoWDOC’s arrangements for the New Year Bank Holiday weekend are from 6pm Friday, December 30 to 8am, Tuesday, January 3.

For the emergency services and for emergencies call 999 or 112.
