Safety measures have been put in place on a Donegal road “that has seen numerous accidents”.
The safety signage has been erected on the Letterkenny to Drumkeen Road, at the Rahan to Corravaddy road leading to Drumkeen.

The development follows sustained efforts by residents, daily commuters and local representatives who petitioned for action over safety concerns on the busy route. Mary T Sweeney, local Aontú rep, spearheaded the campaign for signage and organised public meetings to bring the community and commuters together out onto the streets to voice their concerns about safety issues on this road.

“This is a junction that has seen numerous accidents lately,” Councillor Donal ‘Mandy’ Kelly shared. “I'm delighted that safety measures have now been put in place with new safety signage erected, alerting road users of this junction and also making them aware of entrances such as the entrance to the very popular Corrovaddy Woods walk.“I want to thank DCC Roads Maintenance and Roads safety crew for taking these concerns on board for the local residents and all road users.”
