There was plenty of Donegal interest in the local Donegal Forestry Rally at the weekend as Eamonn Kelly took the win.

The Frosses man, with Conor Mohan navigating, finished 31.1 seconds ahead of Donegal Town’s David Kelly and his co-driver Shane Buckley in their VW Polo.

Jordan and Paul Hone were a further three seconds back as they finished third, while Donegal Town man Paddy McCrudden, with Jason Mitchell behind the wheel, finished fourth overall.

Letterkenny’s James McShea and Grace O’Brien finished second in the Junior class, but it was enough for them to be crowned winners of the J1000 category.

Kevin Glendinning was on hand at the rally to capture the action for DonegalLive.
