Donegal karting star Jayden McElhinney set for prize at British Karting Awards

Manorcunningham karting ace Jayden McElhinney is off to Silverstone this weekend to receive his award for finishing third in the British Karting Championships.

McElhinney placed second in the final round of the Wera Tools British Karting Championship at Whilton Mill to seal third spot in the standings. 

He is the only Irish driver set to receive an award at this weekend’s British Karting Awards ceremony.

McElhinney had a fine all-round year, also playing second in the Rotax Championship for 2025. He completed his season at Nutts Corner and has placed second in the overall standings.

His season is stopped now until early 2026 when he will move up to the Inter class. He already had a race in the Inter class at Nutts Corner, finishing third.
