Rhys Irwin joined an elite list of motorbike racers being honoured on Saturday night at the Irish Motorbike Awards.

The Kilmacrennan rider was honoured after a superb season at the British Superbikes. 

The reigning British SuperSport Champion had four nominations across 12 categories and was named ‘Short Circuit Racer of the Year on UK circuits’. 

This award was presented to him by retired MotoGP racer Eugene Laverty.

Irwin now moves on to winter testing in Spain and has confirmed that he has signed a professional contract with Hawk racing and will be competing in the Superbike Championship for 2026.
