Bus Éireann has confirmed that all passengers on board an Expressway coach which caught fire were safely evacuated.
The incident occurred yesterday evening (January 5) on a Letterkenny coach bound for Dublin containing 15 passengers.
In a statement posted on Twitter following the conclusion of the incident, Bus Éireann stated: "We’d like to thank the emergency services, our driver and passengers for their rapid and effective response. Passengers have been accommodated to continue their journey to Dublin on another vehicle."

The company called the occurrence "exceptionally rare" but has assured customers a thorough investigation will be undertaken.
