Gardaí have seized over 100 kilos of cannabis resin and cannabis herb valued at €760,000.
As part of an operation targeting persons suspected of involvement in organised crime operating in the Dublin Region, a joint operation was conducted by personnel attached to the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) Revenue Customs Service on Tuesday, 18th July 2023.
During the course of the operation, Revenue officers seized approximately 100 kilograms of cannabis resin with an estimated value of €600,000.
In a follow up search, 8 Kilograms of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €160,000 was also seized.
Gardaí arrested a man aged in his forties in connection with this operation. He is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a Garda station in Dublin.
A garda spokersperson confirmed that investigations are continuing.
