Brewer who criticised Electric Picnic over beer ban to sell 'picnic packs' ahead of festival

Ballykilcavan Brewery founder David Walsh-Kemmis recently took to social media to highlight the fact that he was unable to sell his beer at Electric Picnic

ALTHOUGH Ballykilcavan Brewery aren’t able to sell their beers at Electric Picnic, they are planning to sell their new picnic packs in Stradbally - close to the festival site in County Laois.

Ballykilcavan Brewery founder David Walsh-Kemmis recently took to social media to highlight the fact that he was unable to sell his beer at the festival due to the festival’s contracts with other brewers.

The brewery now intends to sell picnic packs in Stradbally along with T-shirts. Proceeds from the T-shirt sales will be donated to Laois Offaly Families for Autism (LOFFA).

“We're going to be in Supervalu Stradbally from 12pm on Friday with our four-can picnic packs, and our newest limited edition beer - a Hüll Melon lager.

We'll also have some *very* limited edition T-shirts for sale. We're donating 100% of the proceeds from these to Laois Offaly Families for Autism, and we'll send a free case of beer to whoever gets the best picture of one being worn over the weekend,” BallyKilcavan posted on their social media.

The sold-out Electric Picnic starts this Friday afternoon and continues until Sunday night.
