Gardaí caught uninsured driver after seeing them cut across two lanes of traffic

A driver who was seen by gardaí cutting across two lanes of traffic on the N81 in Tallaght was caught driving without insurance.

The DMR South Roads Policing Unit observed the car being driven in this manner on the N81 Tallaght.

Gardaí say the driver and passengers were not wearing seatbelts.

The garda Mobility App confirmed the car had no insurance, tax, and NCT.

The car was impounded by gardaí and a fixed charged penalty notice was issued.

Gardaí have urged drivers to drive safely on Irish roads, after three people died in separate accidents over the weekend.

A pedestrian, a motorcyclist, and a single vehicle driver lost their lives over the weekend.
