They are in stable condition in hospital after being transferred by ambulance from the Defence Forces Training Centre

Two members of Defence Forces injured upon landing after parachute display

Two members of the Defence Forces were injured upon landing during a parachuting display today (Thursday April 11). 

According to the Defence Forces, two personnel sustained the injuries during the routine parachute team training at the Defence Forces Training Centre. 

It is understood the injuries are non-life threatening, however both personnel were transferred to hospital by Defence Forces ambulance. 

They are confirmed to be in stable condition. 

The Defence Forces parachute display team comprises of members from all ranks and services of the Defence Forces, permanent and reserve. 

An investigation is ongoing as per DF standard operational procedures.
