BREAKING: Man in his 30s dead after suffering fatal injuries at Kildare residence

 

 

A man aged in his 30s has died following an incident at a residence in Sallins, Co Kildare today (Sunday May 12). 

Gardaí and emergency services were alerted shortly after 3.15am regarding the incident and, upon arrival, the man was discovered with fatal injuries. 

He was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later. 

A man in his early 20s was arrested at the property and is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda Station in Co Kildare. 

The body of the deceased remains at the scene, which has been preserved for examination by the Garda Technical Bureau. 

The local Coroner and office of the State Pathologist have been informed, and preparations are underway for a post-mortem examination. 

A senior investigating officer (SIO) has been appointed to lead the inquiry, and an incident room has been established at Naas Garda Station. 

Additionally, a Garda Family Liaison Officer (FLO) has been assigned to keep the deceased's family informed of developments.

The investigation is ongoing, and further updates will follow.
