ALERT: Irish kids at risk of 'fatal' injury as faulty toy trucks recalled

Thousands of toy trucks bought in Ireland are being recalled due to a major risk of potentially fatal injury.

According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), Toys Amsterdam is carrying out a recall of a 2-Play Construction Truck as the toy can break during use, making button batteries inside accessible.

A child can swallow one or more of the batteries which can lead to gastrointestinal perforation causing a fatal injury.

The type/number of the affected model is 510213.096, the batch number is 038803, and the barcode is 8713219366479.

There are approximately 2,412 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

If you purchased one of these products please stop use immediately and keep it out of the reach of children.

Please return the item to your point of purchase where a refund will be reimbursed.

For further information please contact Toys Amsterdam directly at 0031-318-549150 or toys.gifts@manen.nl
