Aer Lingus will cut their Dublin to Heathrow by two departures per day from this winter onwards.

The airline said they have taken this decision as the service performance has not recovered following Covid-19.

Aer Lingus currently operate 26-28 services between Dublin and Heathrow daily. It's not yet known what services will be impacted.

"Aer Lingus is continuing to assess the implications of the financial damage caused by the pilot industrial dispute in the context of the current competitive environment and the passenger cap at Dublin Airport," an Aer Lingus spokesperson said.

"This includes a review of the weaker parts of the airline's network and its cost base," the company said.

The dispute between Aer Lingus and pilots earlier this summer led to the cancellation of 610 flights as a result of two weeks of work-to-rule and an eight-hour strike.

The airline has stated that the industrial action would result in direct costs for the airline of at least €55 million.
