Search for man missing since the weekend is stood down as gardai issue update

Shane Duggan has been located 'safe and well'

The search for a Limerick man who was reported missing from his home at the weekend has been stood down, after he was located 'safe and well'.

Gardai at Roxboro Road station in Limerick issued an appeal for assistance on Monday - two days after Shane Duggan was reported missing.

In an update, issued this Tuesday morning, they confirmed there has been a positive outcome and that the appeal for help in locating Mr Duggan is being stood down.

"Shane Duggan, 47 years, who had been missing from the Limerick area since October 12 2024, has been located safe and well. We would like to thank the public and media for their assistance in this matter," said a spokesperson.

No further information has been disclosed publicly as to the circumstances which led to Mr Duggan being located.
