Elon Musk slams Ireland following claim illegal immigrants get shorter sentences
One Irish Tesla driver has taken action to explain why their choice of car given the fact the company is owned by controversial X owner Elon Musk.
Musk is now part of new US President Donald Trump's administration in the Department of Government Efficiency and has plans to disband the US Agency for International Development which provides humanitarian aid across the globe.
The South Africa native who joked at the weekend about feeding USaid "into the wood chipper" declared his support for Donald Trump last year and spent hundreds of millions of dollars on his re-election campaign.
As one of the world's richest men, Musk holds a lot of power and influence but has become a controversial figure with recent outbursts on his own X social media platform, including criticism of Ireland's immigration policies, often resharing posts from known far-right figures.
One eagle-eyed Dubliner has posted a Tesla owner who is seeking to distance themselves from the car brand's owner. In a picture posted ironically on X by @stephenlough95, a sticker is visible on the bumper of a Tesla Model T in the city. It reads: "Bought it before we knew how awful he was."

Musk, noted as an avid user of his own platform, has so far not responded to the jibe.
