Two men have been arrested and cocaine worth 1.4 million euro has been seized in west Dublin.
Gardai said the seizure came as part of ongoing investigations targeting organised crime.
The Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau “intercepted” two vehicles in Blanchardstown before 5pm on Thursday.
During the course of this operation, 20 kilos of cocaine valued at 1.4 million euro and 15,000 euro in cash was recovered.
Two men, aged 53 and 49, were arrested on suspicion of facilitating and enhancing drug distribution activities for an organised crime group
They were detained at a Dublin Garda Station and investigations are ongoing.
This seizure forms part of Operation Tara, an enhanced national anti-drugs strategy launched by Garda Commissioner Drew Harris in July 2021.
