Irish celebrities weigh in as calls grow for Garron Noone to return to social media

Calls for Irish TikToker Garron Noone to return to social media following his shock departure two days ago. The comedian and singer became embroiled in controversy following a TikTok video he posted sharing his views on immigration in Ireland and how the issue is currently being handled by the Irish government.

Fans of the Mayo man have been jumping to his defence and calling for his return to social media with some taking to Twitter/X to post "I stand with Garron Noone".

Irish singer/songwriter Imelda May weighed in as she posted: "Come back #GarronNoone You’re delicious"

Another person posted: "Can we please save terms like racist and nazi for people who are actually racist nazis? Sometimes Twitter is an incredibly stupid place. #GarronNoone"

Another person said: "Garron is a decent good guy with a good heart. He was very reasoned & articulate & we need reasoned articulate conversations. What they did was vile vicious & unaccpetable. I really hope he’s ok"

However, others highlighted a need to focus on bigger issues and that Garron was not being prevented from giving his view.

One person posted: "For the people who moan about not being "allowed" to speak your truth on social media. If you weren't allowed to share your opinions, we wouldn't be inundated with them every day here. 99% of you share your toxic opinions on fake accounts, so you know you're wrong. #GarronNoone"

Another said: "When Tristan Tate, Katie Hopkins & Peadar Toibin are supporting things you say, it’s time to do some soul searching By Garron - and by everyone jumping to his defence #GarronNoone #notdelicious"

Another posted: "Imagine living through a live-streamed genocide, the breakdown of the planet's climate and a decade of austerity, and the only political issue you chose to speak out about is some made up lies about immigrants. #GarronNoone"
