Two arrests have been made after 290,000 euro worth of cocaine and pills were seized after searches of a van and properties in Dublin.
A van in the south inner city of Dublin was intercepted by members of the Garda drug unit.
The search of the van resulted in 1.2kg of suspected cocaine being seized, with an estimated value of 84,000 euros.
Two men have been arrested and are being detained in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.
The van driver, a man aged in his 20s, was arrested and is being detained in the Dublin Metropolitan Region under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Follow-up searches were conducted at a premises in the Dublin 12 area, assisted by members attached to the Serious Crime Units in Kevin Street and Kilmainham Garda stations.
During these searches, a further 3kg of cocaine with an estimated value of 210,000 euros and prescription tablets with an estimated value of 5,000 euros were recovered.
A man in his 30s was arrested and is being detained in a Dublin Garda station under Section 15 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1977/84.
