Gardaí have launched an investigation after a man's body has been pulled from the water at Donabate, county Dublin, on Wednesday morning.
Following the discovery, the man's body was transferred to Connolly Hospital where a post-mortem examination is due to take place.

In a statement, Gardaí said,
"Gardaí, Coast Guard and emergency services attended the scene following report of the discovery of the body of a man in the water at Donabate, Co. Dublin, this morning, Wednesday 28th January 2026.
"The man’s body was recovered from the water and has been transferred to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course. The results of the examination will determine the course of the Garda investigation.

"The Coroner has been notified.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
