There was a large turnout for Thursday night's Shaun Graham 3K Memorial fun run/walk in Letterkenny.

This was the third staging of the event held in memory of Shaun (19) a former Letterkenny AC athlete, who was killed in a single vehicle collision in Rathmullan along with Matthew Crawford (21) in August 2013.

Speaking on behalf of the Graham and McGlynn families, Annette Patton, an aunt of the late Shaun, thanked everyone for supporting the event.

Annette also urged the large number of participants to stay active, healthy and safe. "Make the most of life," she added.

The proceeds of the race/walk will go to Anam Cara - Anam Cara, the allIreland organisation that provides support services to bereaved parents and families. A donation will also be made from the proceeds to the Paul Holian Recovery Fund. The race was won by Danny Mooney in 9 minutes, 11 seconds.
