Finn Valley AC twins Eilish and Roisin Flanagan have won the Irish Times Sportswomen of the Month for December 2022.
The Flanagans finished 11th and 12th at the European Cross Country Championships in Italy, leading the Ireland senior women's team to bronze.
The Gortin sisters – identical twins – clicked identical times, both crossing the line in 27:38 at Mandria Park in Turin.

Eilish Flanagan wasn't initially named on the team, but took the place of the injured Ciara Mageean.
Mary Mulhare finished 30th and Ann-Marie McGlynn of Letterkenny AC, who was the oldest competitor in the event at 42, came home in 31st to complete the scoring team.
Ireland took bronze with 50 points, five better than Spain with Germany (9) and Great Britain (30) occupying the top two podium spots.
The Flanagan sisters were part of the under-23 team that won silver in Lisbon in 2019 and are based in Colorado having completed their studies at Adams State University.
