Ulster team titles for Finn Valley AC in Carndonagh

Five individual medals were won by athletes from Donegal clubs while Finn Valley AC won two team crowns and there was a team silver for Inishowen AC

Ulster team titles for Finn Valley AC in Carndonagh

Finn Valley AC with the intermediate women's title.

Finn Valley AC won the intermediate and masters women's team titles at the Ulster Intermediate and Masters Cross Country Championships on Sunday.

In Carndnoagh, Inishowen AC left with masters men's silvers while five individual medals were won by athletes from Donegal clubs.

Stacey Leonard led the way as Finn Valley AC took the intermediate women's gold.

Leonard was the individual gold medal winner in 16:31.

Leonard was backed up by Joanne Campbell, who collected bronze, with Bridgeen Dolan fifth and Maggie O'Hara sixth.

Milford AC's Gillian Marley claimed the silver in 16:45.

Finn Valley AC also won the masters women crown.

Leoni Cooke was second and Teresa Doherty finished second and third to earn podium finishes while Kay Byrne (10th) and Joanne McNabb (12th) also scored.

Rosses AC's Fionnuala Diver was just outside the medals in fourth.

Inishowen AC won team silver in the masters men.

Pauric McKinney was seventh overall. McKinney was joined by Martin McLucas in 16th, Liam Bradley in 17th and Philip Callaghan in 19th.

In the intermediate men's race, Finn Valley AC's Shea Carlin was eighth overall. Letterkenny AC's Dale Corbett (13th), Darren Toland of Finn Valley (16th) and Finn Valley's Ryan Porter (20th) were in the top 20.
