Mona McSharry won two impressive gold medals at the South Eastern Conference Swimming Championships.
The University of Tennessee student grabbed the 100m breaststroke gold on Friday night and added the 200m breaststroke title on Saturday night.
The Marlin's Swimming Club graduate set an SEC meet record of 57.25 seconds to win the 100m crown.
McSharry became the first Tennessee swimmer to win the 100m breaststroke title back-to-back.
In Texas, McSharry added the 200m to her locker 24 hours later.
McSharry swam 2.05:11 to win the 200m for the first time in her collegiate career.
She is the first Lady Vol to win the 200m event since 1992 and arrived after clocking 2:06.28 in the preliminary race.
Earlier in the week, the Grange native took the 50m freestyle silver. McSharry’s 21.74 seconds was the fourth fastest time in University of Tennessee history.
McSharry also helped the University of Tennessee to silver in the 400m medley relay and bronze in the 200m medley relay.
