The first ever Donegal derby in senior cricket took place on Saturday - and St Johnston star Jack Macbeth posted a record-breaking tally in a Sammy Jeffrey Shield win against Letterkenny

Jack Macbeth broke new ground in the 125-year history of St Johnston Cricket Club on Saturday in the first ever Donegal derby in senior cricket.

St Johnston defeated Letterkenny by 244 runs at the Boathole in the Sammy Jeffrey Shield.

Macbeth hit a stunning 162 not out – the highest individual tally ever scored at the Railway Road venue.
