The Donegal Motor Club says it will exhaust all avenues to ensure the running of the 2023 Knockalla Hill Climb.
There were fears among members over the running of the popular event, scheduled to take place on September 2-3.
Entries have not opened with just over a fortnight until the scheduled date.
However, a meeting of the Donegal Motor Club on Monday night at the Mount Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny heard hopes that obstacles can be overcome.
“There a number of issues that are of concern for this years event that have just surfaced in recent days,” the Donegal Motor Club has said.
“It was clear from the COC's, the committee members with the support of all members present that all avenues will be exhausted to find solutions to run the Knockalla Hillclimb in September this year.
“A further statement will be made in the coming days as things develop.”
Last year, the successful Danny Gormley Memorial 50th anniversary Knockalla Hill Climb received rave reviews.
The event involves a 1.3km climb up the world famous Knockalla hill, including Wilhare’s Corner, named after Cranford’s PJ Wilhare following a big ‘off’ in a fibreglass Mini.
The 2022 necessitated an extended entry due to the large demand from competitors.
Meanwhile, Tony Boyle, the Clerk of the Course for the Harvest Rally, confirmed to members that the Harvest Rally is confirmed for November with further details to follow in due course.
