Catriona Devine set a new Irish Masters record over an indoor mile on Wednesday night.
The Finn Valley AC athlete, competing a the Track & Field Live meeting at the National Indoor Arena in Abbotstown, clocked 5:25.92.
The time is a new Irish W50 record with the Castlefin woman coming in third in the race.
Devine is preparing for the European Masters in Torun, Poland, in March and Wednesday’s outing represents a useful step in that plan.
Rosses AC woman Eva Logue won the women’s high jump event. Logue got over at 1.55m with Redeemer AC’s Ciara Miele her closest challenger, clearing 1.45m.
Rosses AC’s Odhran Rogers was second in the U15-U16 800m 2:06.10.
