Roisin Flanagan
It’s a huge evening for Roisin Flanagan as she prepares to run the 3,000m final at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Glasgow.
The 26-year-old Finn Valley athlete - now based in Colerado where she is coached by Damon Martin - takes to the track at the Commonwealth Arena at 8.15pm. Flanagan recently set a new Irish indoor record over two miles.
At the Millrose Games in New York, Flanagan finished 12th in 9:36.70, shaving a massive chunk off the previous national best of 10:43.33, set by Ailish Hawkins in Boston last March.
