Finn Valley's Roisin Flanagan set to compete in the women's 3000m final in Glasgow

It’s a huge evening for Roisin Flanagan as she prepares to run the 3,000m final at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Glasgow.

The 26-year-old Finn Valley athlete - now based in Colerado where she is coached by Damon Martin - takes to the track at the Commonwealth Arena at 8.15pm. Flanagan recently set a new Irish indoor record over two miles.

At the Millrose Games in New York, Flanagan finished 12th in 9:36.70, shaving a massive chunk off the previous national best of 10:43.33, set by Ailish Hawkins in Boston last March.
