Donegal teenager Jack Boyle recorded a notable victory in an amateur support bout on a pro boxing show in Dubai.
The 16-year-old, out of Dunfanaghy Boxing Club, overcame Yusuf Kizito,
Boyle has been trained by Paul Weir. The Scot was a two-weight world champion, winning the WBO mini-flyweight crown in 1993 and a year later taking the WBO junior-flyweight crown.
Weir was also the light-flyweight bronze medallist in the 1991 European Championships in Sweden.
Earlier this year, Boyle represented Dunfanaghy BC in the Senior Cadet Championships.

On Saturday evening, he overcame Kizito, six years his senior, with an impressive performance in their 85kgs contest.
Their clash was one of the amateur support bouts on the Grassroots Boxing card held at the Emirates Golf Club with Boyle weighing in at 84.6kgs.
