Danny McLaughlin - Squash
McLaughlin was a member of the Downtown Bar Squash Club who competed with distinction in the Ulster League and the Northern Ireland Cup in the 1980s.
One of his most memorable successes was defeating a reigning Ulster champion in a five-setter in Magherafelt.
Downtown’s big opposition in their hometown was the Letterkenny Squash Club based at Rainey’s on the Port Road and McLaughlin was the Number 1 Ranked Player in the Downtown Club for five years.
