Arlene Crossan will run in this evening's final
Arlene Crossan will run for Ireland in the women’s 4x400m relay final at the European Athletics Indoor Championships this evening.
It is understood that the Finn Valley AC athlete will run the third leg of the final at Omnisport, Apeldoorn.
Crossan has been in fine form of late, setting new Donegal records over 400m and 200m.
At the National Senior Indoor Championships, Crossan clocked 55.20 seconds in the final to finish fifth - and earn her place on the team for the European Indoors.
The Letterkenny woman went 54.98 seconds, a new Donegal best, in her semi-final, and last weekend lowered the county 200m indoor record to 24.44 seconds when running at the Leinster Championships.
Sharlene Mawdsley withdrew from the individual 400m and the women’s 4x400m relay after suffering an injury in Thursday night’s mixed 4x400m relay.
