Oisín Orr once again showcased his class in the saddle as he guided Catching the Moon to a stylish victory in Ayr, making it two wins from just three career starts.

Travelling well throughout under the Rathmullan jockey’s direction, the filly moved into contention a furlong from home before asserting her authority, pulling clear to deny Lam Yai by a neck.

The 15/2 shot was Orr’s second win in as many days after he guided Good Heavens to victory for John and Sean Quinn on Friday afternoon.

"She is very chilled out,” Orr said on Catch the Moon. “I got a good position in behind the leaders and travelled well, but she probably didn’t really enjoy the ground.

“Her ability got her through and she picked up nicely. On better ground, she’ll be even more effective. She’s a lovely filly, very straightforward, and it’s a pleasure to ride her."
