Dean Gallagher in action at the ADC Global Championship
Dean Gallagher has qualified out of his group at the ADC Darts Global Championship at the Live Lounge in Portsmouth.
The Bridgend native finished fourth of seven in Group 6, taking the fourth and final qualifying spot to go into next week’s knockout groups.
Gallagher took wins over group winner Jonny Barnes and in his final two games against Mat Caste and Vicky Cauteruccio, with a 4-1 win against Cauteruccio being enough to go through on leg difference by one leg from Patrick Dekker.
Reigning champion Devon Petersen from South Africa defeated Gallagher 4-3 in their match, but crashed out in the group with only four points.
Gallagher progresses to the second stage, which takes place next weekend, with eight groups of four, with only the group winners progressing to the Grand Final at the beginning of January, with the winner picking up a prize of £60,000.
