Isabella O'Reilly
Rising Ballyshannon surfing ace Isabella O’Reilly won a silver medal at the 2025 Eurokids in Tenerife at the weekend.
O’Reilly finished second in the U14 girls section of Europe’s premier surf festival held at Playa de Las América.
In the final, O’Reilly posted scores of 7.00 and 6.35 and her combined 13.35 was bettered only by new European champion Nadie Nalesso Blanco.
The Spaniard posted a winning tally of 14.50 with Switzerland’s Zoe Hauser (8.65) and Ellie Hickie (2.95) from England next in line.
Blanco won the junior divisions, U16 and U18, at the same festival and ended the competition with a hat-trick.
O’Reilly, the daughter of Brendan and Sinead of Dicey Reilly’s, won the Girls U18 Wave of the Year at the Irish Surf Film Festival earlier in the year.
