Kathryn McDevitt books place in 60m final at European Masters

McDevitt will also compete in 200m and 4x200m relay in Braga

Kathryn McDevitt after setting a new record at the Scottish Masters recently.

Kathryn McDevitt booked a place in the final of the 60m sprint at the European Masters Athletics Championships.

At the Altice Forum in Braga, McDevitt finished third in her heat.

The Letterkenny AC woman, competing in the W40 category, finished in 8.35 seconds.

Fellow Irishwoman Avril Dillon won another heat while Sinead O’Regan, in the third heat, was third and also qualified.

McDevitt has a busy week in Portugal. The 60m final is on Thursday afternoon while she goes in the 200m heats on Friday.

McDevitt is also part of the Irish 4x200m relay team.
