There were four winners from Donegal clubs at the Ulster Championships held in Clonmany on Sunday.
St Bridget’s ABC hosted the finals for the first time with 22 bouts down for decision.
Carndonagh duo Kieran Cunningham and Darragh Porter toasted titles.
Cunningham stopped Armagh’s Deividas Liutikas in the Boy 4 66kgs final. The referee stopped the fight in the first round with Cunningham in control.
Porter took a 4-1 decision against Michael McGee from Cookstown in the Boy 4 52kgs final.
Convoy ABC’s Pearse McBride overcame Brian McDonagh from Newry on a 3-2 split decision to take the Youth 1 60kgs crown.
In the Under-18 57kgs final, Dunfanaghy ABC’s Cormac Hall took a unanimous decision against John McCartan from Carrickmore.
That quartet join another six Donegal boxers in going to the Irish Championships which glove off in a couple of weeks’ time in Dublin: Conal McGonigle, Cahir Donaghy (St Bridget’s), Josh Clarke, Oisin Doherty (Carndonagh), Muireann Bradley (Letterkenny), Lani Lafferty and Joey O’Hara (Twin Towns).
Letterkenny man Jack Harkin, boxing for Oakleaf ABC, stopped Brandon McDonagh in the Youth 2 52kgs final.
