Donegal athletes doubled up on medals on day two of the Irish Life Health National Juvenile Indoor Championships in Athlone.
Lucy McGlynn completed a clean sweep off medals by adding both a gold and a bronze following her under-19 400m silver on the opening day.
The in-form Tir Chonaill AC woman sped to gold in the 60m hurdles. McGlynn won in 8.87 seconds, beating her Tir Chonaill AC team-mate Niamh Moohan to the podium’s top spot. Moohan was second in 9.17 seconds while another Tir Chonaill AC runner, Rachel Gallagher, was eighth in that final.
McGlynn was the bronze medalist in the 200m. The race was won by Lucy-May Sleeman from Leevale in 24.24 seconds with McGlynn finishing third in 25.48 seconds.
Cranford AC duo Oisin Kelly and Caolan McFadden followed up their 1500m victories from Saturday with success over 800m on Sunday.

Kelly won the under-19 800m title. Kelly finished in 1:54.54, a comfortable winner ahead of St Peter’s AC’s Rory McLaughlin (1:59.58).
McFadden took gold in the under-16 800m. McFadden crossed the line in 2:00.95, edging Odhran O’Sullivan from Midleton, who was second in 2:01.64.
Riona Doherty of Finn Valley AC was the under-16 60m gold medalist on Saturday.
On Sunday, Doherty also scooped gold over the 60m hurdles. Her performance, and a time of 8.94 seconds was notable.
Amy Timoney, also of Finn Valley AC, was third in 9.08 seconds, the Donegal duo split by silver medalist Amy Rose Kelly (South Galway AC).
Lifford-Strabane AC’s Harriet McCrossan took gold in the under-18 200m. McCrossan took victory in 25.46 seconds, adding that gold to her 60m bronze. Hannah Murray of Finn Valley AC was fourth in the 200m.
Tir Chonaill AC’s Eoin Boyle was the under-17 high jump silver medalist with a best of 1.78m whole Mark Boyle-Gildea, also of Tir Chonaill AC, took silver in the under-12 shot put, throwing out to 8.60m.
Oisin Thompson of Finn Valley AC took silver in the under-19 boys long jump with a 6.29m effort while the 5.87m by his club-mate Daniel McHugh earned bronze in the under-18 long jump.
Dean Leeper of Finn Valley threw 12.55m for bronze in the under-167 shot.
Tir Chonaill AC’s Ben Campbell won bronze in the under-19 60m hurdles in 9.27 seconds while Rosses AC’s Oisin Gillespie finished in 9.53 seconds for bronze in the under-14 60m hurdles.
Finn Valley pair Mark Wilkinson and Stephen Slevin were fourth in the under-14 long jump and under-15 high jump.
Letterkenny AC’s Katie Elliott was fifth in the under-15 60m hurdles while Lifford-Strabane duo Ella Costello and Asleigh McArdle were fifth and sixth in the under-17 60m hurdles.
Fintan Dewhirst (Tir Chonaill AC0 was fourth in the under-18 boys 60m hurdles and Alexis Campbell was sixth in the under-18 girls 60m hurdles.
